is an anti anxiety agent. Xanax is used primarily for short-term
relief of mild to moderate anxiety and nervous tension. Xanax
is also effective in the treatment of activity depression
or panic attacks. It can be useful in treating irritable bowel
syndrome and anxiety due to a neurosis as well. Xanax may
help the symptoms of PMS if extreme, and some cancers pains
if given with various narcotics. Xanax is used to relieve
anxiety, nervousness, and tension associated with anxiety

ALPRAZOLAM (Xanax) is a benzodiazepine. Benzodiazepines belong to
a group of medicines that slow down the central nervous system.
Alprazolam relieves anxiety and nervousness and helps to treat panic
attacks. Federal law prohibits the transfer of alprazolam to any
person other than the patient for whom it was prescribed. Do not
share Xanax with anyone else. Generic alprazolam tablets

How should I take Xanax?

Side effects that you should report to your prescriber or health

confusion, forgetfulness
depression
difficulty passing urine

mood changes, excitability or aggressive behavior
muscle cramps
staggering or jerky movements, tremors
